Emerging Hope Lanka (EHL), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), was founded in 2016 to support the poor and needy families of Sri Lanka by conducting projects in rural areas.
 EHL is dedicated to Women’s education and empowerment in Sri Lanka.
We believe that entrepreneurial and leadership training can empower women in creating new pathways to living fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Emerging Hope Lanka also believes that empowering women to build businesses and gain independence is key to social transformation and economic advancement. When women become financially enabled, they can support their families financially. Children are not only able to continue schooling, but they too can come home confident and independent mothers.
EHL seek to empower women for social and economic development by equipping them with financial skills. Their aim is to prepare them to engage in enterprise.
The objectives of EHL
- Encourage women to start their own businesses by offering business training
- Offer home-based microbusinesses access to startup financing and grants as well as knowledge of the financial markets.
- Provide business training for women from low-income households, increase women's financial literacy
- Coach women entrepreneurs to start their own enterprises efficiently with fewer finances and material resources
- Conduct Motivation and management sessions and leadership seminars for mothers
- Provide continuous mentoring and handholding support for women entrepreneurs
